'Decided to go up above the city for a chance to get a good view. My friend (not a deviant) and I both started snapping pictures and noticed how beautiful the whole city really is. How things stand out and others just dissapear. HE wanted to leave while I wasn't done taking pictures. I started noticing the skyline and the beautiful parking garage area around us. The bright yellow and blue contrasted so beautifully...something that wouldn't ever have been possible at any other time of day. He started to get into my shot...and I told him to "move and get out of the damn frame" but, then I said "no no, don't move, go sit" and so, he did. He sat and I while waiting...looked to be contimplating against the beautiful skyline, perfectly shillouted with the lights centered behind him (by accident) and the blue sky amazingly cast behind the city. This was the first shot I snapped, he was still moving when I took the shot. To me, this shot was beautiful and really represented a lot.'

I've edited his movement out, improved the shillouette, made the sky larger (spent TONS of time brushing the sky in...to be PERFECT...countless hours), curves (slightly), color adjustments (very slight), and selective coloring. This image HAD to be just as pefect as the moment. So, I made it so. I spent lots of time in every detail of the image, just to bring this very VERTICAL image to you.

I really hope that you enjoy this shot, this moment, this contrast, but most of all...the feeling. It's meant as an expressive piece...not a cityscape or architecture shot, because what was captured the most here was the whole feeling I got from the image.
