I'm going to submit something I do not feel is a BEST work of mine. This is something that has been literally lying on my desktop with the name "river".
I made a 4-5 shot scene of this scenic area into a panoramic and never did anything with it. I did this without a tripod using just the manual setting on my camera for all around fluency, I didn't test the light or try to establish a "perfect" condition for everything. I went for stability and a starting point. This shot, to me, isn't really my best.
But, after looking at it, I found that it has a very unique beauty. The blue water rushes towards the camera, the sky opens up to a white sunny sky, the leaves are falling and the whole place is comforting and scenic.
I hope that this piece finds the same beauty for you as it did in my heart, that is why I am sharing this, because I felt that it needed to be shared.
I understand what you mean... at first it seems there is nothing special or specifically catching about this image... but at full view, the water is very powerful and the color is amazing... I am sure you have tried working with brightness and contrast, saturation levels and the like. It's a workable image and I definately see the potential in it, for sure.

Yeah, looks nice... Trees in the background are a bit harsh for my personal taste (the fault of the landscape vs. my opinion, sure not yours!), but there is something fetching about this. Nice work!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

This is my December
This is my time of the year
This is my December
This is all so clear
And I’d give it all away
Just to have somewhere to go to
Give it all away
To have someone to come home to
