- enchanted passage -

Do you know of a hidden place?

Somewhere that's secluded, beautiful, and enchanted?

A place to go and hide when everythings not worth it.

Here's a place to hide. Take comfort.

en·chant·ed: To delight in a high degree; to charm; to enrapture; as, music enchants the ear.
pas·sage: A corridor.

'Went on a very long hike, to get away from it all. It was amazing. So silent out in the forest, miles away from anything. Cell phones didn't work, and no cars or people could be heard. It was truly paradise finding this amazing waterfall in the middle of such a dense forest. The Columbia River Gorge is one of the worlds largest areas of lava tubes, and has the highest concentration of waterfalls than anywhere else in the world. I brought my tripod with me just so I could capture such beauty, but I never knew it would be this spectacular. The sun was going down quickly when I took this shot and it really added to the tonal range for the picture. I had been thinking a lot about my sociology class lately and being out in the woods really brought about a lot of feelings about how I needed to get away from everything more often.'

At first, I wasn't going to post this image. But after browsing though some other shots I took while hiking, this one really stood out. Even more than the other ones. It had a magical feeling to it, a sense of belonging.
I really thought that I should share this image with you. I love how the log is fallen down, the path bends and turns, the water trickles from every little crack and the surrounding forest is so lush and filled with shadows.

I really hope YOU like this image, because that's why I'm submitting it.

Just, relax.
Have a great day, with love, Aaron.

Wow, i like how the passage kinda matches the river. Very nice, and a great touch with the long exposure.

A beautiful shot no doubt. You did really well with choosing shutter speeds..... giving the water the feel of motion but yet still freezing it. A question though,...... the greens are so bright in this shot...... was it really like that or has this been edited?
